AT-A-GLANCE Co. implements daily entry requirement or risk lost access to planners

Earlier this week, the planner and organizer giants AT-A-GLANCE revealed a new policy regarding the use of their daily, weekly, and monthly planners. Citing a high organization abandonment rate, the company expressed concern over increasing dilly-dallying.

A recently released ten-year study revealed an average 78% of customers giving up on scheduling just five weeks into the new year. AT-A-GLANCE has become the highest producer of paper waste in the continental United States, Guam, and a few beaches in exotic locations where travel influencers enjoy the benefits of exchange rates in third world countries and live carefree with no need for agendas.

“As of today, customers who have purchased a 2023 day planner, organizer, calendar, or padfolio will be required to make one daily entry or risk losing access to their personal schedule,” says Martine Falau, Director of Spiral Bindings and Perforations.

“Additionally, we will no longer be supporting shared calendar use,” Falau continued. “You can not give it to a relative or friend once you’ve given up on trying to be more organized this year. You can’t give it to some rando in a Buy Nothing Facebook group or let it sit on a Goodwill shelf for twelve years. Not anymore. We know this has been going on for years. This is your appointment book and we’re cracking down on policy violators.”

Fans of the brand were shocked at the announcement, leading many to cancel their refill subscriptions. “In all my years as a customer, I’ve gotten to schedule as much or as little as I wanted, says Gary Sokol, a 55 year old father from Parsippany, NJ. “Sure, sometimes there are complete days, or even weeks, that I do stuff and don’t write it down. I mean, that’s why I have alerts on my phone. If they’re going to make me look for a pen every day, I’m just done with them. It’s not even like they’re coming out with new content every year. It’s still the same boxes and lines and inexplicable grid paper.”

Late this afternoon, a Change.org petition began circulating — urging the brand to backpedal their decisions. They would have organized a protest, but no one had put anything on their calendars.
