masterpieces of our own
you are marrow
you sate, sustain
disgusting—how much I want to eat
prepared, laid out, just as I ordered
by nail and tooth, I will consume
a platter for me to devour
until I've had my fill of you
a meal I needed to make my own
i am the stage, i await presentation
the grace with which you trace my skin, ballet
light as fading dandelions
a touch so tentative and so unsteady
impassioned like natural glances but shied away
unrehearsed and one night only
i attend the play so I can moan
sliding together, rough and tectonic
like waters from different seas converged
such warmth creating an energy
as you push and suppress my every word
you nourish sensation that feels like music
effervescent, down my spine and afterward
keep coming, coming, it’s so mind numbing
your penetrating stares i take on loan
this feeling is color, saturated
like butter trying to melt, drawn
spread on canvas, fine lines between us
blurred, like masterpieces
of our own
